AGENIX Digital, in partnership with the Ateneo Intellectual Property Office (AIPO), recently conducted its inaugural SEO Masterclass of the year on April 27, 2024, at the Ateneo De Manila University. The masterclass focused on providing attendees insights into SEO principles, understanding of the expanded customer journey funnel, and actionable steps to start search visibility within the next 30 days.
Led by Clarry Herrera, Founder and CEO of AGENIX Digital, the masterclass also included team members Derek Rodrigo, Digital Marketing Manager; Mark Tuason, Growth and Partnerships Specialist; Than Supresencia, Head of Finance and Administration; Kenver Baluyot, Creatives Manager; and Mitzi Fajardo, Executive Assistant to the CEO.
A total of 38 attendees were present, comprising representatives from AGENIX Digital's partner VCs’ portfolio companies such as KAYA Founders, QBO, Ideaspace, Ateneo Blue Nest, and university organizations like Young Entrepreneurs' Society UP and UPLB Computer Science Society.
Clarry started the masterclass by narrating AGENIX Digital's journey from humble beginnings to its current stature as a SEOTech agency with a growing team and client base. He also introduced AGENIX Digital's upcoming tech tool, which is set to be offered as a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution.
Throughout the session, Clarry underscored the significance of leveraging search data to anticipate market demand, monitor brand visibility, and outrank competitors. He highlighted the need for businesses to optimize their online presence to cater to the ever-evolving preferences of search engine users.
"Search data is invaluable for gauging demand for products, services, and features by providing insights into what your customers are actively seeking online,” Clarry said.
Potential changes in search algorithms were also discussed. Given the complexity of Google's algorithms, what insights did Clarry have regarding changes in search?
"Understanding the potential future shifts in search algorithms is crucial," Clarry emphasized. "We must prioritize creating multi-content formats and providing thorough website information to stay ahead of these changes effectively."
The masterclass ended by offering actionable steps to kickstart search visibility.
"Install Google Search Console to monitor your search performance. Ensure you have dedicated pages for your products, services, and features. Participate in forums like Reddit to respond to customer inquiries. Search for your product keywords and optimize your profiles on review and directory websites," Clarry advised.
Burket PH’s Front-end Developer Associate, Kim Darst Baluyot, shares their feedback on the masterclass, “The masterclass was informative, especially for a beginner like me.”
Irah Elisabeth Franco, Member of the Promotions Department at Young Entrepreneurs’ Society UP, also shared her takeaways. “The entire discussion was new to me, but it was very interesting and informative, and I've learned a lot of SEO facts that I can apply when I start my own business.”
In today's rapidly evolving digital landscape, understanding SEO is crucial for startups. SEO enables them to gain online visibility without relying heavily on paid advertising. By staying updated on effective SEO strategies, brands can grow and succeed online over time.
This masterclass marks AGENIX Digital's first tie-up with a university, demonstrating its dedication to sharing SEO knowledge with startup founders and marketing professionals. The SEOTech agency is paving the path to partner with at least four more academic institutions in 2024 to conduct masterclasses and introduce AGENIX Digital's internship program.
